Norway to build Doomsday Planet Vault
nightbat wrote
Well the Washington Politicians already have their doomsday vaults why not for seeds? Norway is building a protective vault to house whatever seeds are now left to protect the diversity should the world wide seas begin to rise as scientists predict. See: http://www.livescience.com/environme...day_seeds.html Well just as Officer Warhol warned finally some scientists are taking heed and protecting the grains for future generations in case the worst does hit, oh mercy! I remember as a kid how delicious some multi variety of home or farm grown fruits and vegetables tasted now they all appear to taste and look the same. The Seans have reported collecting multi Earth specimens for preservation and for possible reseeding of other planets. With so many planet species vanishing, both animal and plant, protecting remaining seed stock is a good idea. Well Officer Bert, don't worry, those great beer grains should be in good hands. ponder on, the nightbat |

Good thing to preserve some of the old fashioned varieties of vegetable seeds, the ones that actually tasted good, because in the future the only vegetables that will be commercially grown will be genetically engineered to endure on the shelves like plastic, be colorful, but taste like cardboard! Just like today's ore bought tomatoes! The Seans have reported collecting multi Earth specimens for preservation and for possible reseeding of other planets. Just like today's store bought tomatoes! nightbat Correct Commander, for example here in Indiana they send pickers to detassel hybrid corn so the seeds are sterile and only grow one season. The store tomatoes and vegetables taste bland, rain forest large farm bananas in a few years scientists report will disappear, and fruits like strawberries don't taste right. The oil companies are now after the corn, oh mercy! The Seans have reported collecting multi Earth specimens for preservation and for possible reseeding of other planets. And thank goodness for the protective Seans and their preserving Earth planet stock, or it will be no Starship beer suds and virgins for us, oh heaven forbid! Here's to Oregon hops! the nightbat |
