Default One Day Men will land on Mercury.

On the dark side. They will be happy they are shielded from all

the solar radiation. They will glad they are near the life source for

all of the solar system. They will eat cake and drink beer.

Then begin the slow migration to stay always on the dark side.

Well, you are forgetting some important facts, which you can read about, here...

https://er.jsc.nasa.gov/seh/mercury.html

Understand that Mercury rotates, just like all other bodies in the solar system, so your cozy house on the dark side will spend half the time on the sunny side, too.

Understand also that "When the planet's orbit takes it closest to the Sun, surface temperatures range from 467 degrees Celsius (872 degrees Fahrenheit) on Mercury's sunlit side to -183 degrees Celsius (-298 degrees Fahrenheit) on the dark side."

Last, but not least, Mercury has essentially no atmosphere at all, so waddaya gonna breathe?

All in all, it is probably a very bad plan to live on Mercury...

Talking about going to Mercury for a picnic. We don't have to leave the space

ship. It will be an experience to view Mercury out the window and enjoy being

on Planet One for a little while.
