A beautiful sunny day here in Gresham. It is 73F as of 1:45 PM. Expected high of 76F.

Got my VCR hooked up and it works better than I expected. Watched one of the VHS movies I bought at that thrift store close our sale.

Lunch with Kim yesterday. She is beginning to think her former husband might have been an space alien! So wouldn't that make her son a hybrid?! She gave me a hand sewn covering to put on my sofa. Getting all the comforts of home now!

Sandy could be my manager.I did not come in last when I ran for mayor of Easthampoton. Now I know how to win.

Let me know if you run. I should be good for at least a $5 or so campaign contribution.

Light rain here in Gresham. Expected dryer this afternoon. Cloudy and currently 61F as of 1:00 PM PDT. Exping a high later of 71F.

The streets here have signs along them closing them to parking tomorrow morning. Something about a Teddy Bear Parade, whatever the hell that is. This town has more events and festivals than anywhere else I've seen!

In summer it is nice though, and stays a little cooler than downtown Portland.

Today I am back over in the Cedar Mills Library, since I don't have my Multnomah County library card yet. After lunch with Kim downtown, I came up here. It is currently 51F here with a slight sprinkling of rain starting. Should be dry again in a couple day.

A few days ago I walked over to the Mt. Hood Community College campus. I spent 2 years in school there. Much has changed, but old memories still remain.

At first I felt a little lost, but then I came upon a spot I clearly remembered. It was where I had gone out there and watched a speech by then President Jimmy Carter in the late 70's. He was the first President I had seen in person! A helicopter brought him in, and Iranian students hiding their faces were demonstrating against the Shaw of Iran.

I finally found the lake that they made by damming up the local creek. I once drove a car across that dam! But if I were to try it now, I would run into a fence. I now must give up any hope of wetting a line in that trout stocked pond, as fishing is now limited to those under 17. Well, that's how I always thought it should be.

I found the basketball court with the dome shaped roof. It is a paraboloid shaped roof which gives an interesting echoic effect at its center. They have wisely covered much of the ceiling with acoustic tile.

There used to be tables and chairs on the east side where students could sit. But now it's all basketball floor. That's were I used to sit and talk with Greta and Susan in those pleasant times.

But why is she not here today

But you come not. - AA

I went to the corner of Kane Dr. and Stark St. to look for the stone mile post marker for mile 14 from Portland. It was there back in 1969 when I checked. This were set down every mile along Stark about 150 years ago. Stark led to the Stark St. Ferry, which was the only way to cross the Willamette River back then, before they built the bridges in Portland. The Community College has put up a sign at that corner and surrounded it with rocks and other landscaping. But no sign of the historic mile stone. You would think that the administrators of a college of all people would have some respect for history!

Try Metformin pills. It will help your diabetes and get things moving along, perhaps more than you like!

Good luck, Bert.

65F here in Gresham as of 1:15 PM PDT. Some clouds, but no rain yet.

People are walking around the streets with their kids carrying teddy bears after the "Teddy Bear Parade".

Sunny here in Gresham. But as of 12:15 PM still a frigid 50F! Was down in the 40s last night. It gets that way here in late September. After all, it will soon be October, and the frost will be on the pumpkin. Expected high today 72F, if we're lucky.

My neighbor has gotten kicked out by his girlfriend and his furniture is all out in the backyard! He sold me an end table for ten bucks, and he has a chest of drawers he told me today he is willing to part with. I need that.

I got to watch the Oregon Ducks play last night on my television. But watched them be totally destroyed and humiliated by Utah. I guess they are not the same team anymore that were championship contenders last year.

But my old alumni the Porland State Vikings are really hot this year. I guess I should be paying more attention to them, but they are not as well covered.

A brisk fall east wind here in Gresham. But it has warmed up a bit. Currently 73F as of 12:30 PM PDT. Expected high 79F. Nice and sunny. I guess this is Indian summer.

I bought the chest of drawers I needed from my neighbor's "thrown out in the street" sale. He also threw in a lamp and a small desk. Now I am fixed pretty well.

I missed seeing the lunar eclipse last night. By the time I went out to look, all I could see was the full "super moon".

I miss it.I think Iĺl see it next time.O Ya Hot no clouds. No Sandy.I could go to the pool without her,but its nice to be with a cop when you crash a pool party. Looking at a fixer up house.I hope only to be a part owner..Housing is sky high in Orange county. The land goes for big $$$$$$$ I have a place to stay in Fullerton, but spend most of my time in Anaheim. I see Mt.Baldy every morning it blocks the Sun.Its smoggy grey.I blame Baldy at times for LA having no rain.Only have a few lucky nuggets left. The lucky rocks are to high up for me to get.You can only drive up about 6300 feet??? If you won;t a Baldy lucky rock email me.Also a easy way to pick up a few bucks to buy a car and laptop.TreBert
