Astro: M 97
The 09/10 rainy season in Central California has been less than kind
to astrophotography. It started a month early and seems to want to continue into May. I read someplace that on a clear dry night the astronomer is still observing/imaging through 30 gallons of water. Since mid Septermber 2009, I've been imaging from the bottom of a swimming pool. This image of M 97 was taken during the only brief period of above average seeing/transparency since last September.
