Default "...a bird pooped on the Sun"

I invited my 9-year-old out to see sunspot 756, and his reaction when he
saw it was, "Whoa--is it the black spot that looks like a bird pooped on
the Sun?"

My 12-year-old asked how big it was, probably anticipating the magnitude
of the answer, but she was suitably impressed when I told her it was
several Earths wide.
