Default HELP!

Not an expert by any means, but I think the scope you're referring to is the
Meade ETX-125. I got mine (don't even ask how!) about a month ago. When I
ordered it (none in stock), I was told it could take up to 6 weeks to get one. I
got it in 7 days.

Anyway, so far, so good. I've only been using it with the supplied 26mm eyepiece
but I received the Meade special offer eyepieces this afternoon so tonight I'll
be giving the scope a real workout. I live in a very light-polluted area so my
only two targets of interest so far have been the moon and mars. The view of the
full moon was breathtaking! Mars is also fantastic (get a #23A red filter).

The scope is easily portable and sets up quickly. I'm totally pleased with it.

BlankHi, all you experts out there,

I am new to astronomy and I am thinking of buying a telescope. There is one
portable telescope that someone recommended me. It's a Meade
Maksutov-Cassegrain 127mm F 15 (1900mm). Can anyone advise whether this is a
good scope for beginners? Can I take reasonably good photos with it?

Thanks a million!

Cheers,
'Greenie'
