W.re used to have a nice dog track here near Gresham, but it closed in 2004. I spent many pleasant hours there in my younger days. I worked a system and kept track of all my wins and losses, and one year I actually finished an overall winner for the season! I miss that track! The Indians bought it and have demolished the grandstands. Whether they will eventually put a casino there is still an open question.

Perfect day in May.Gambling was big in the 30s.A hope to pay the rent..My grandfather when he lived in UK had race horses. He must have had a few bucks.Whent broke in 1908 and came to USA.lived till 105.He loved to gamble till the end.Had 16 children Bert

If he owned race horses, he must have been rich! Portland still has a horse track, Portland Meadows. It is also a casino now. Live racing is now only in the fall and through January. It used to go on into the spring. It is a little farther away from me than the old dog track.

There must be a bus that goes there!

A nice day here in Gresham. An ideal 72F as of 12:15 PM. Wind 7 mph out of the SW. Humidity 53%.

Use that unlimited VISA to buy a luxury car with Corinthian leather seats! Why not? You deserve the best.

Same weather.Thought of a sailboat(small) that can get me to Hawaii even with great storms.Keep me warm and dry.Bert

Might be better off avoiding Hawaii for the time being. Pele is angry!

The volcano god needs the sacrifice of a virgin, and the Hawaiians have realized to their horror that they don't have one!!!

No eruptions here. Temp as of 2:45 PM is 61F. Partly sunny. Some dark clouds. Wind west at 8 mph. Humidity 52%.

Another sunny day here. Current temp 77 as of 12:45 PM. Wind NW at 5 mph. Humidity down to 42%. Day's expected high 86F.

Keeping cool by opening the door late at night and early morning, letting all the cold air come inside until I am freezing my ass! The shutting everything up the rest of the day. That way it never gets uncomfortably hot.

Lois Lane has died. Superman will be the only pallbearer.
