Default Manifesto for Psychic Liberation

FYI:

The word "psychic" is derived from the Greek work psychikos meaning "of
the psyche - or soul." The reference is to aspects of human nature that
are not readily explainable in terms of conventional, material science.
The focus of this movement will be to shed the light of reason upon
those situations where ignorance, fear and prejudice regarding human
psychic functioning exist - particularly in the domains of education,
science and religion. By confronting ignorance, fear and prejudice
regarding psychic abilities, we hope to help create a world in which
people feel encouraged to cultivate and apply their inner, intuitive
abilities. -JM

Since science _is_ "the light of reason," this quote doesn't make much
sense.

Well, sometimes the scientists prostitute themselves for money. Fifty
years ago the scientists were publishing research that 'proved' that
'smoking is good for you', but of course the tobacco companies were
funding the grants that paid their salaries. Scientists also commonly
fudge their results, to suit a special interest bias, in order to get
more grant money from the special interest group, for 'further studies',
(propaganda purposes) etc. More recently, some scientists wanted to
teach 'Creationism' in secular Colleges and Universities, because they
were blatantly getting funding from religious organizations to do so.
Today, professors could lose their jobs if they advocate any subject
matter the biased political/religious/academic establishment does not
like. Most establishment scientists are often very unscientific. They do
it for the money.

J.M. is only saying that research in paranormal phenomenon can be done
in a scientific way, and the ridicule is part of the establishment
agenda to undermine serious scientific study. The Establishment
Religions are afraid that once people open up to the impending new age
realities, that serious research in 'paranormal studies' will inevitably
bring, that their archaic religious myths will end up on the ash heap of
history, and this is what they are trying to prevent, at all cost. And
so, they have taken control of all of the scientific/educational
establishments, and ridicule anything they suspect might be threatening
to their positions of priviledge and power.

However, truth keeps marching on, and they will fail.

Rudy,

So your screed is on topic for sci.astro because you are on a crusade to
purify and expand the boundaries of science?

OK. But you look remarkably like a paranoic conspiracy-monger. And/or
a troll.
