Default The reasoning of genuine astronomers

The structure of the solar system and the Earth's position within that
framework concerned both geocentric and heliocentric astronomers and
even if contemporaries dump the 'center of the universe' thing on
Copernicus and the geocentric astronomers,Copernicus himself did not
saddle the genuine geocentric astronomers with such a low level of
thinking -

"..the ancient philosophers wanted to arrange the planets in
accordance with the duration of the revolutions. Their principle
assumes that of objects moving equally fast, those farther away seem
to travel more slowly, as is proved in Euclid's Optics. The moon
revolves in the shortest period of time because, in their opinion, it
runs on the smallest circle as the nearest to the earth. The highest
planet, on the other hand, is Saturn, which completes the biggest
circuit in the longest time. Below it is Jupiter, followed by Mars.

With regard to Venus and Mercury, however, differences of opinion are
found. For, these planets do not pass through every elongation from
the sun, as the other planets do. Hence Venus and Mercury are located
above the sun by some authorities, like Plato's Timaeus [38 D], but
below the sun by others, like Ptolemy [Syntaxis, IX, 1] and many of
the modems. Al-Bitruji places Venus above the sun, and Mercury below
it." Copernicus

As for the 'framehopping' empiricist and the lapdogs who call
themselves 'astronomers' there is a Judaeo-Christian saying that I
have come to understand quite clearly -

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
or you will be like him yourself.

Answer a fool according to his folly,
or he will be wise in his own eyes."

Proverbs 26

People will either enjoy the reasoning of Copernicus or they do
not,for those who do there is a wealth of new avenues and insights to
look on while those who load Copernicus and his reasoning with junk
shall have novelty and be entertained by their own cleverness.

I do not wait and anyone nor does anyone have to wait on me,a bad
situation exists and there is no point trying to play general and
footsoldier at the same time therefore a more open treatment by
participants here of what Copernicus achieved against a geocentric
backdrop which is far more detailed than most are aware of would help
yourselves,the wider population and astronomy.
