Default Meade 2x Barlow

Hi All,
Will a Meade 2x Barlow #124 be suitable for my Meade 4500 series scope?

Thanks
Buzzy

If possible, use the Celestron Ultima APO 2X barlow for quality
magnifications. I use it with my Nikon 500 mm F4 IF ED (special
modifications done to my lens) and it produces stunningly sharp images,
although not as sharp as the performance of the original lens with no
additional lens elements ... Always go for the best APO barlow you can get
your hands on. I heard that Tele Vue 2.5x Powermate is good too but a bit
pricy. I haven't tried that though but the Celestron Ultima APO I have and
it's good.
