Wonderful to see so many people take part in different midsummer events although they have little appreciation of the dynamics which are behind polar noon and how it transfers to midsummer where that rotation combines with daily rotation.

People have this wonderful tendency to be inspired and inspiring hence the spirit of humanity however it would be diminished by those who do not exercise their valuable reasoning capabilities in coming to understand that if daily rotation was extracted, the entire surface of the Earth would still turn once to the Sun as it turned parallel to the orbital plane.

Isn't it amazing that despite all the obstacles placed in front of people by the celestial sphere enthusiasts, they still go out an celebrate an astronomical event that nobody in this forum ever has.No greater misery than that.

I am afraid the UK rules for "Care in The Community" may prevent certain travelers from leaving.

Such a wonderful thing to track the North pole across the sunlit face of the Earth while in 6 months time the South pole will be front and center whereas presently it is on the opposite side of the planet -

https://epic.gsfc.nasa.gov/

The circumference of constant daylight with the North pole at its center will start to shrink now as the pole and indeed the entire surface of the planet taken in context of its orbital rotation moves towards the circle of illumination. Just before the September Equinox there will only be an area bounded by the local horizon at the North pole where the Sun will remain constantly in view . Then a perfect symmetry will occur where the Sun appears on the opposite side of the Earth at the South pole -

It is meant to add to the celebration of the Solstice using today's technological achievements in imaging and so what if this is the only place where provides a ground for its emergence, it will be there for anyone who has a curiosity about these astronomical events and how they effect their lives in terms of the seasons.

Don't you mean 'Broxit?'

BTW: Please do not speak to the 'Care in the Community' religious types.
My elderly father merely glanced in the direction of one of them and was badly beaten.
The same 'Care in the Community' type lay dead for several months unnoticed in the latest of many apartments which had to be provided each time he forgot to take his meds.
A bit like priests who can't keep their hands off the innocent kids.
Keep shuffling the pervs around to ensure an ever larger pool of damaged victims..
and no familiar witnesses to exchange their horror stories.
Which might reduce the collection plate for stretched limos and gold trinkets on Sundays.
