The Messier Ten Minute Challenge

M19 - Globular Cluster in Ophiuchus

Discovered in 1764. M19 (NGC 6273) is the most oblate known globular
cluster. This may be due with its proximity to the Galactic Center: At
28000 light years away its diameter of 17 arc minutes equates to a
diameter of 40 light years.
