EINSTEINIANS TEST RELATIVITY ON THE MOON (ON EARTH IT IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE)
http://press-releases.techwhack.com/11672/nasa-20/
"NASA has selected four proposals focusing on astrophysics priorities in lunar science to facilitate the nation's exploration program. The proposed studies are part of a NASA effort to develop new opportunities to conduct important science investigations during the planned renewal of human exploration of the moon. The newly-announced proposals for concept studies may lead to experiments placed on the moon that would allow for unprecedented tests of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity." Pentcho Valev |

"Unprecedented tests of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity" on the moon, that is, a new money-spinner. Isn't that exciting? Then there will be "unprecedented tests of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity" on Mars etc. Those will be desperate steps indeed but no more money will come from standard experiments: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/uk_ne...057529,00.html "Few scientists need the final results, which will be revealed in December, to convince them of Einstein's genius. 'From the most esoteric aspects of time dilation through to the beautiful and simple equation, e=mc2, the vast bulk of Einstein's ideas about the universe are standing up to the test of time,' said Robert Massey, from the Royal Astronomical Society. He said the mission was 'legitimate science' to test a theory and confirm its brilliance, but others have criticised the costs and length of the study, claiming that what was announced had already been shown. Sir Martin Rees, the Astronomer Royal, said the announcement would 'fork no lightning'." Pentcho Valev |

Then there will be "unprecedented tests of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity" on Mars etc. Those will be desperate steps indeed but no more money will come from standard experiments: You understand that theories require entirely new tests, to see where they fail, right? I understand that you think that everything "relativity" is wrong, regardless of what experiments have already been run that failed to falsify it. So are you arguing for the test to attempt falsify it, are you arguing against the test because you know (as the scientists don't) this too will fail to falsify it, or are you simply bitching that more money is being spent in space exploration.. rather than giving it to you and giving you your rightful place as "King and Dispenser of All Sanity"? Frankly, I'd like to see if there is "Universal expansion" between here and the Moon. By more than one (hard working, I'm sure) person. If you cared to know. David A. Smith |
