Default A diamond bigger than Earth?

The whole planet is 8 times the mass of Earth, but it has a diamond
layer thought to be 3 times the mass of Earth.

Its not a diamond its a buckyball planet. Bucky Balls and Diamonds
are two sides to the same coin.Aliens make great use of buckyballs, and
its about time humankind put them to use. TreBert

Pure carbon is very useful stuff. Lunar black diamond (aka carbonado)
is mostly carbon but also paramagnetic, like the many samples I happen
to own.

Buckyballs made into a chain would be amazing. Strongest chain ever
to be made. It would have no weak link. It would be invisable, but
strong enough to lift a 747 if it did not cut it in half trying to
lift it. Buckyballs have unlimited uses. Can be used in war fare. A
buckball going at 1,000 mph can go through 5 feet of steel.and not
lose its structure. Bucky balls do not bounce, but will combine to
create great structue, and a class III will use bucky balls as their
building blocks. I predict it TreBert

Very imaginative but not very clever. You need to discover the strength
of chemical bonds. They are not infinite. And just what is the "Fare"
for war? Just asking for anyone who wants to get aboard.

And if a buckyball can go through 5 feet feet of steel, it's important
to notice that it would do virtually nothing to it. Great weapon there,
Tree. Next marshmallow guns!

Bucky balls aren't used at class III you only have that technology at
class VI and above.

And to think that carbonado (such as obtained from our naked and
physically dark moon) as a rock like black diamond, can provide as
much continuous length of carbon fiber as we like. This carbon fiber
should make for a terrific space elevator tether, such as to/from my
LSE-CM/ISS.

Buck Balls atoms of carbon make a structue not held together by a
chemical pond. A buckball gun can shoot a billion buckballs every
1,000 of a second. destroying body cells. Buckyballs will be of great
use in space travel. I predict it TreBert

Yes, magnetic-rail-gun shot buckyballs as approved medical treatment
bullets could also contain other material.

That's actually a very good use of linked carbon atoms.
