newly discovered asteroid to pass earth: 26,500 miles (43,000 km)
Hello all,
NASA announced on March 17th that on March 18th, at 22:08 UTC (5:08 PM EST), a newly discovered asteroid will pass by the earth by a distance of about 26,500 miles (43,000 km). This asteroid is about 100 feet (30 meters) in diameter, and was discovered by the LINEAR asteriod survey on the evening if March 15th. This asteroid is being called 2004 FH.
