Growing up with him on the late night tube, it's kind of a hard pill to swallow. :^(( Best regards, Bill |

He has been missed and now more so. You know that he was an amateur
astronomer? At least in the 1980's he still used his Cave 10" Newtonian (maybe had his limo take him out to some dark place). Now both guys are gone. Hi: If I recall correctly, Johnny had quite a few scopes, including, at one time, a Questar 7 and a C14. You're probably right, but I can't remember. Tom would speak of he met
Johnny and made the 10" for him. I remember people telling me that Carson would actually observe with the telescope. 30 years is a long time to do a TV show and it seems like just yesterday he did the last one. It was on too late for me most of the time, but whenever I did see it he left me rolling in the floor. Dusty "RMOLLISE" wrote in message oups.com... Dusty wrote: He has been missed and now more so. Anyone here ever see Carson observe? Attend a star party? Of course, I
know he was an amateur astronomer because he would occasionally mention it on his show. Bill G.
