I have seen this happen before as meaningless sour comments directed at me inevitably end up in the spectacle of an attempt to bully each other such as Illig trying to influence Alsing or indeed other members going into a immature sulk.

It is not rocket science - engineering innovators, astronomers, explorers, creative productive people through history follow the 24 hour and Lat/Long system. Theorists and celestial sphere enthusiasts follow the 24 hour and RA/Dec system.

It is absolutely crucial for the relationship of dynamics to terrestrial sciences that people travel back through the 24 hour and Lat/Long systems to the roots of timekeeping to the formatting of the 1461 day/rotations to 4 orbital circuits in order to progress astronomy and their understanding of all other historical milestones.

Let the magnification enthusiasts bite each other, there is too much to do astronomically as empirical astrophysics starts to break up due to the presence of so much imaging, time lapse and the internet itself.

The theorists following the RA/Dec framework would have their work cut out for them but then again I never met one who had an interest in their own material. They should know that relativity is a can of worms encompassing an older can of worms created in the late 17th century but sometimes part of the older flawed framework makes an appearance -

Many of the experimentalist instructors who taught older guys here mimic this half-assed notion of Newton via the 'hold good' lingo of relativity and it is oh so hapless and would be quaint were it not that the same theorists today have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the celestial sphere underpinnings of Sir Isaac and specifically his apparent motion(relative space/motion) as distinct from true motion (absolute space/motion) that he tried to impose on direct/retrograde planetary motions.

The empirical theorists are lost in a labyrinth of their own creation but seem to enjoy it anyway which is fine as long as there are people who can pick up the arguments for direct/retrograde motions as Copernicus first proposed the resolution along with the necessary modification for the faster moving Venus and Mercury made possible in this century.

To untangle the whole things means untangling timekeeping from the perspectives which account for the motions of the faster and slower moving planets seen from a moving Earth. There is work for hundreds of people for decades so let the RA/Dec theorists continue, it really is a waste of time, effort and intelligence.
