ASTRO: NGC 3995
Again I had guiding problems in declination for this shot of a rather weird
group af galaxies around NGC 3995 in the southern parts of Ursa Major. I'll probably change the declination motor to see if that helps. Taken from the middle of Berlin with a 10" Meade ARC at f/6.3 on a G11 mount, SXV-H9 camera, 35x5 minutes. The picture can also be found at http://ccd-astronomy.de/temp/3995-35x5gut.jpg Stefan |

I wouldn't have noticed the declination problem if you hadn't mentioned it. Pretty minor. Good luck on tracking the source. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

ASTRO: NGC 3995
Nice image Stefan. That galaxy looks like it is just getting ripped to
shreds...like it wants to spiral around in one direstion and something is pulling it in another. Any color data planned in the future ??? There might be some interesting colors in this one. P.S. Your star images are very tight with this 10" telescope. Joe "Stefan Lilge" wrote in message ... Thanks Joe. I might be tempted to do some "quick" colour frames as it would
be interesting to see which colour those knots have. I won't spend too much time on the colour frames though because the luminance is not good enough with the elongated stars in declination...
