of R&D and pure science than any other Western country. It's like
similar to how the U.S. views foreign aid.
But we have some good private companies doing work. The CCDs in the
Mars probes are from Dalsa, a Canadian company based in Waterloo, Ontario.

I guess there's no accounting for taste. Shawn is far more
entertaining than Rich, but Rich IMHO has always had higher quality
material. Unlike the kooks, though, both of them are true amateur
astronomers, and know their stuff--even when they're talking nonsense.

It was a translation of an idea (small office), not a measurement of a
specific area. Too much precision can make things look weird.
