Bob Grumbine says there are people in talk.o who know some geology, and I think the point should be of interest to physics since if Plate Tectonics doesn't work, then what does? Once we see that the post is disconnected with real science and serious discussion (and you do have a known history we can go by) then most of it is just having a bit of fun with each other. Don, Lets go back to square one. For a brief moment, lets assume that we are back in a pre- plate tectonic school of scholars. You are about to give a talk on a new theory of an expanding earth. Can you give these scholars three pieces of geological evidence that show that the earth is expanding? Of the three examples, is there ONE that can ONLY be explained by earth expansion ? Remember this is not about debunking the establishment, but instead presenting a new and exciting concept to science. To which I will ask after the talk in the question period, 'where does the matter come from' and 'aren't you violating the conservation of energy law'? --D. |
