you can compute the diameter by taking a square root. If you

conformity with the rest of the Expanding Earth Theory.

Isn't this also in agreement with that five-spatial-dimensions guy who
says that temperature is the fifth dimension? Wouldn't there be an
inverse-framistan phase-correlation transformation at that point,
leading to changes in the fundamental mathematical operations, erasing
all evidence of the event? }: )

The phase-correlation transformation breaks down with imaginary
latitude, silly ;0)

Ah! Now I understand! There must be imaginary latitudes to explain away
anomalous paleolatitudes that don't support the growing-Earth
hypothesis!

I know properly this should belong in sci.geo.geology, but the best
they can do over there is show each other pebbles they collected at the
weekend, ..and swap stories about walks and pictures they took, so I'm
looking to broaden the reach. Bob Grumbine says there are people in
talk.o who know some geology, and I think the point should be of
interest to physics since if Plate Tectonics doesn't work, then what
does?

Repeat:- This thread is about how to falsify Plate Tectonics: No
sidetracks please.

Listen, Mr. Net-Kook

You are posting off-topic threads here and you have the
unmitagated gall to tell *us* what we can and *cannot*
write about in threads in *our* group? Who gave you the
right anyway? (I'll bet it was uraniumcommittee.)

Please go back to your rock and crawl deep beneath it.

Ack! No! Lemon juice makes blood curdle for crying out loud. Unless the
dish calls for curdled blood you don't add lemon juice.

It's needed for texture.

And just in case you don't know the way the game is played here on
talk.origins, most of those 50 posts have absolutely nothing to do
with you or plate tectonics. Once we see that the post is
disconnected with real science and serious discussion (and you do have
a known history we can go by) then most of it is just having a bit of
fun with each other. If we can make it at your expense, then all the
better. But you could just disappear off the face of the earth and we
would still play our games.

I see, .. You consider yourselves to be the white noise of
cyberspace, do you? ....

I must also point out that when we see
that the post is a serious query about a substantive issue, then there
are often lengthy and serious discussions of the issues.

....that can switch to signal immediately somebody presses your
collective button. From scanning a selection of posts it seems that
'signal' doesn't happen very often, ..or last when it does... Umm,
...the collected buttons of real science. Drowning out anything you
don't agree with. (Talk about the necessity of rubbing each other up
the right way.) "We are a community of scientists. We are the grey
noise of consensus"
'Buttons' : You wouldn't want a shiny one amongst you, would you..
Even parrots have more colour. (Hey, ..just a thought, and looking
for a redeeming feature, .. ..You're not tiddly-winks are you?)

Hey, bud, you chose use. We didn't choose you.

There are real science news groups that exist for the purpose of
serious discussion of science. But they don't want you, either, for
some unfathomable reason. Or is that too deep for you?

Don,

Lets go back to square one. For a brief moment, lets assume that we are back
in a pre- plate tectonic school of scholars. You are about to give a talk on
a new theory of an expanding earth.

Can you give these scholars three pieces of geological evidence that show
that the earth is expanding?

Of the three examples, is there ONE that can ONLY be explained by earth
expansion ?

Remember this is not about debunking the establishment, but instead
presenting a new and exciting concept to science.

To which I will ask after the talk in the question period, 'where does the
matter come from' and 'aren't you violating the conservation of energy law'?
