I agree that we shouldn't be discussing this topic here, but I didn't

start
it and those who did start it seem to disappear into the background when
they get any opposition to their liberal propaganda. I understand also

that
you would trust anyone more than you trust Bush...as long as that

"anyone"

Lieberman is a republican in democrats clothing...he should run

The president is right about one thing, however. Today the world faces

a
single man armed with weapons of mass destruction, manifesting an
aggressive, bullying attitude, who may well plunge the world into

is
that his name is George W. Bush, and he is our president.

Whom do I want for a POTUS?
Someone who really does not want to be Pres, like Washington...
The problem with a new country creating a presidency, is that if the first
man in office is say, a 95/100
all those who follow in his footsteps are going to be lower scoring, in
large part because of the act of seeking power itself..It seems in the end
of the 20th Century and beyond, I'd say the POTUS scoring is in the 10-15%
range.

Which one of the current crop of Democratic idiots would you have
replace him? How about Dr. Dean?...would you feel more comfortable
with this hot head's finger on the red button? Or, how about
Edwards?...After all, he's made a very comfortable living for himself,
chasing ambulances and claiming up to 50% of the bootie from the poor
and downtrodden people he claims to serve. Well he does have a half a
term as Senator, of which most of this time served to date was spent
campaigning for president. Would you feel comfortable with him? How
about John Kerry?...This is the same guy who repudiated his military
service along with his medals (mostly purple hearts)? He's sure
taking advantage of his military service and purple hearts these days.
If not one of these idiots, you must be partial to the Reverend
Sharpton? Here is a guy who's knowledge of politics is endless. Which
one would you have?

"A zebra does not change its spots." - Al Gore, attacking President George
Bush in 1992
Orion

"Davoud" wrote in message
...
Davoud:
Al Gore was *invited* because he is a technology-savvy man who
supported NASA and other technological initiatives over many years

(and
was in large part responsible for the development of the Internet as
the public medium that it is). But you knew that, because you don't
rely on rumors, innuendo and lies to inform yourself, but instead read
the Congressional record, right?

Orion replied:
I know ALGORE said he invented the Internet.
'nuff said...

******

No, not quite enuf, ignoramus, because Al Gore said no such thing.

On March 9, 1999, Al Gore appeared with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's _Late
Edition_. Blitzer asked Gore to explain what set him apart from Bill
Bradley, his opponent for the Democratic presidential nomination. One
of the things that Gore said in response was ³During my service in the
United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.
I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives
that have proven to be important to our country¹s economic growth,
environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.²

Gore's assertion raised no eyebrows because:
a) it was typical talk from a man seeking the presidency.
b) it was true, and the non-partisan Congressional Record, which it
turns out you have *not* read, proves that it was true. Gore was one of
the first people in Congress to recognize that DARPANET, a national
computer communications network that served the DoD, its contractors
and university researchers, had great potential to benefit the country
both socially and economically if it were expanded and made accessible
to everyone -- including liars like you, and truth-seekers like me. But
such an expansion and conversion required $$, and only Congress could
authorize the funds for the creation of the Internet that liars like
you and truth-seekers like me know today. Al Gore took the initiative
in pushing for the spending to create the Internet.

The interview made news only later, when liars like yourself twisted
Gore's words to suit their own purposes.

Here's a challenge for you. When, where, and to whom did Al Gore say
that he invented the Internet? You "know" that he said it, so I
challenge you to assume the burden of proof.

Davoud
