Umm. No evidence of that.

Hint: Is the deficit growing, or shrinking?

The deficit has nothing to do with the National Income resulting from tax
revenue. The economy expands so as a percentage of that expansion government
revenue expands too.

Tom

Deficit = Government Income - Government Spending

Yes. Thus demonstrating that Income can increase while defecits also
increase... if spending increases faster than income.

Which is not a sustainable situation..

Hence the need to either cut spending or increase income in line
with the inceased spending. Preferably both.

Um, there were *three* airports involved on September 11, remember.

Please do not feed the troll.

Now for a deliberate insult of my own.

Thus demonstrating that you are a political extremist...?

Probably from your viewpoint.

And I admit it doesn't add anything to discussion on the internet.

There is such a thing as 'context'. The only so-called "civil right"
we've lost since 9/11 has been the ability to board a 300-passenger
airliner without going through a metal detector.

Thanx for going out of your way to demonstrate you are a liar.

Please feel free to point out what civil rights US citizens have lost
since 9-11.

The right to not be picked up within the United States and jailed
without allowing a lawyer and described as an enemy combatant.

I don't have sympathy for the particular person involved, but
I hope that the upcoming court case and similar cases result
in curbing some of the exesses of the Bush administration.

Concur. I am no friend of President Bush, but this sort of stuff is obvious
nonsense. There really isn't much point in debating it.

shuttle shuts down in 2010. Kerry's plan
is probably the same, unless it shuts down sooner, which wouldn't be a bad
thing. We'll have to wait and see what comes next.

Giving up the shuttle is only a good thing if a better ship replaces it.

So, what you're saying is that civil rights are incompatible
with the fight against terrorism.

Habeas corpus is a civil right, in the Constitution no less, yet it was
abridged when necessary to hold the country together. No doubt similar
sacrifices will need to be made now that the enemy is hidden in the country.

Bush, in the eyes of some, is leading America too far toward the
latter example. Kerry, in the eyes of others, will return America to
the situation that existed on September 10, 2001.

So where is the middle ground?

Vote for me.

What excesses? Point them out.
