I understand what you are saying, and in fact I agree. However, I still
stand by my contention that to say it is "obvious" is inaccurate, as the
currently demonstrable evidence does not support the existence of ET (i.e.,

We haven't seen any photons either, we infer that they exist.

All of science is inferential. All of the evidence that science has
given us pushes the probability of extraterrestrial life closer to
unity, and it is already so close to unity now, that to deny the
evidence, is to deny all of science. The entire house of cards would fall.

Consider dark matter and energy, not only is the earth not the center of
the universe, the sun is not the center of the universe, the milky way
is not the center of the universe, matter and energy itself is not even
the primary stuff of the universe, we are not even made of the main
stuff of the universe, yet you claim that there is a possibility that
Earth holds the only life in the universe, or even that biological life
is the only form of life possible? Apparently you are not keeping up
with progressive developments in science.

I maid no such claims. In fact, quite the opposite. I said that I agree
with you that the probability is quite high.
