Default SAVE THE HUBBLE FOUNDATION!

Wfoley2:
Let the Hubble Foundation save itself, I am more interested in saving the
Hubble.
G
Clear, Dark, Steady Skies!
(And considerate neighbors!!!)

Michael:
There is no foundation, it's [sic] joke my fine furry friend.

And you, my naked-ape friend, may have missed the grammatical point.
"Save the Hubble Foundation" means "save a foundation named 'The Hubble
Foundation.'" But "Save-the-Hubble Foundation" is a foundation
(fictitious though it may be) named "Save the Hubble.

It would be difficult to overstate the importance of hyphenating
compound adjectives. Man eating tiger vs. man-eating tiger, e.g. Waaaay
different!

Fat free food: Food that's fat, but you don't have to pay for it
(though it still lacks a comma).
Fat-free food: Food that contains no fat.

Hunh. Apparently, it's even more difficult to overstate the importance
of context when reading.

Agreed, but context doesn't always help. "I went to the zoo and saw a
man eating tiger."

That "[sic]" wasn't in the original message. Your use of
journalistic style here is confusing and goes contrary to Usenet
quoting practice. The symbols denoting a quoted section are
equivalent to using "[sic]" at the line level. Any modifications
of the quoted content amounts to tampering.

You didn't close your quotation. Whatever are we to do with you?
