This is *not* an unresolved argument.

I do admire your mendaciousness though. Bringing up points and
claiming they're unresolved debates. Neat.

I think you have to resolve the problems with your newsreader or I do
with mine.

A somewhat scambled response IIMSS.

While we're a zillion miles off topic, let me point out that Nixon
wasn't impeached, but Clinton was.

Christians who attempt to use science or politics to advance their
faith are labeled foolish.

I realize not all creationists believe the "young earth" theory, but
most or at least many do. Asked why we see celestial objects whose
parallax indicates the light from them originated millions of years
ago, one creationist said (I'm paraphrasing), "God created the universe
with the light already coming toward us." That's science?

Want to advance your faith? I'd suggest living like Martin Luther King
or Jimmy Carter. Indeed, I think that's the biblical position.

Ah, but the moon does spin. The period of its rotation is equal to its
orbital period, that is why the same side of the moon faces us.

And the coincidence in there escapes you?

Which part of the mechanism of gravitational locking are you struggling
to understand?

Stephen

Yes but evolution is still being taught , and accurately, by most schools,
as a "theory". Yet some become adamant that anyone who denies the "fact"
of evolution must be insane. Sorry about being off topic, but really, as
if none of you ever are.

Yes I do agree that some of so called "Creation Science" is done by so
some with truly closed minds. Try asking them if they believe in the
possibility of extra terrestrial life. They have some kind of twice dead,
plucked up by the roots, theological seminary taught aversion to such
questions. I, and many other christians do not. There are however many
scientists who are christians who have made valid contributions to science,
and some of their research points decidedly to creation. Even Einstein who
at one point earlier in his life is said to have espoused an atheistic point
of view, later is also said to have believed that he mathematically proved
the existence of God.
Also I would like to point out that those who have dedicated them selves
to various sciences have throughout history have sometimes missed the
obvious. This is common to almost all human endeavors. I happen to believe
that truth comes by insiration, athough this is often in the proccess of
much hard work and research.
But then, since God already has these answers, I think that at least talking
to God about the things that matter to us might give us a bit of an edge on
the discovery of these truths.
But "OH NOO" I actually mentioned "God", how silly, and what nerve I
have to include our creator in a dicussion of science. God did give us
minds, and also free wills, it is up to us in what manner we choose to use
them. If we will acknowedge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths.
Yours Bill.
By the way this is a message about science in general, which includes
astromomy, please have the sense not to tell me how awful I Iam to post
about this. If you must, then also remove from your links all the family
pictures, and the standing in front of buildings, and such, as that is "off
topic" as well.

Are you pretending that I have not already posted Message-ID:
, or do you merely lack the wherewithal to
comprehend it?

Well, given that we actually observe evolution happening, to deny it we
would have to be insane or dishonest.

Sorry about being off topic, but really, as

#1. Since when are tu quoque arguments valid?
#2. I don't see anyone else posting religious claptrap (even though
several of us have religious beliefs). It's called "respect" -- you can
find out what that word means by looking in a dictionary.

Yes I do agree that some of so called "Creation Science" is done

By definition, *any* espousing of the oxymoron that is creation science
is done either by a closed mind or one that is so open that the brain
has fallen out and got lost.

There are however many scientists who are christians who have made
valid contributions to science, and some of their research points
decidedly to creation.

Really? If that is true and you are not just making it up, please name
one, just one, prominent scientist whose research points to "creation
science" as the *only* possible explanation.

Even Einstein who at one point earlier in his life is said to have
espoused an atheistic point of view, later is also said to have
believed that he mathematically proved the existence of God.

Irrelevant to "creation science", even if you were correctly
representing Einstein.

Also I would like to point out that those who have dedicated them
selves to various sciences have throughout history have sometimes
missed the obvious.

Irrelevant. And even if it wasn't it is not evidence for "creation
science" any more than it is evidence for the existence of a species of
pink Welsh unicorns.

You should remember take two of the pink pills and one of the big green
ones three times a day before food.

Enough of this! It feels almost cruel for me to be engaging in a battle
of wits with someone who has only half the necessary armament.
