Quebec sinkhole swallows minivan, cuts off town
Last Updated Thu, 30 Mar 2006 12:10:57 EST CBC News A Quebec man escaped with minor injuries early Thursday after the minivan he was driving fell into a huge sinkhole, which has cut off access to a small Quebec town. Police say the sinkhole - which measures nine metres wide and six metres deep - opened up on the road into Sainte-Victoire-de-Sorel, east of Montreal, around 1 a.m. Thursday.
