Yes, but, in all fairness, one of the 9/11 planes hit the *Pentagon.*
That means not all of the terrorists' casualties were civilian, ei-
ther. So I guess that justifies it...

Don't forget the plane that hit the Pentagon was filled with civilians. I
wasn't suggesting that the various radical groups in the Middle East did not
target combatants, but that they don't seem to try to make a distinction
between combatants and non-combatants.

Actually, they do. They prefer non-combatants, because they believe
that it inspires more fear (which is their primary goal), and they're
softer targets, with less risk to themselves.

:How many oil wells are there in Japan or France or Germany?
:
:None. What's your point?

Wrong.

France - pumped 27,000 barrels of crude per day in 2002.

Germany - pumped 69,000 barrels of crude per day in 2002.

Japan - pumped 6,000 barrels of crude per day in 2002.

I'm not sure what they pumped all that crude oil out of if there are
zero oil wells amongst them, as you have stated.

My error; thanks for correcting. So to get back to the
question to sfb...

Enough to yield 6,000, 27,000 and 69,000 barrels per day
respectively. What's your point?

Well, since the people hijacking the plane didn't come from the nation

Yes, you choose all manner of idiotic things.

Hey, whatever you say. Whatever you say!

Now, while making your well thought out, elaborately phrased, and al-
together fascinatingly insightful remarks, could you please point that
pitchfork you're holding and the torch away from my face? You and
your-- um-- colleagues...?

Yes, certainly. Just as soon as you stop beating babies.

I don't think there are that many canadians who hate Yankees because of
that pot thing. There must be some, we have our fair share of wacko's.
But even if we don't hate you for it, it is annoying. And it would
probably help your country on the diplomatic side if it didn't do as
much things like that.

No doubt, but politics are what they are.

Not only that, it's bull**** because we haven't had a battleship, with
or without 16" guns, for quite some time.

Not in service, but I believe two remain on the naval register.

We don't try to run your country. Stop trying to run ours.

The problem with your sentence is: it's false. The USA thinks she is the
world police and tries to tell the 6 billion non-US people on Earth how
they should live politically, economically and lifestyle-wise.

Only when their lifestyle includes hijacking our aircraft, murdering
their crew, and flying them into buildings.

No. Canadian lifestyle includes none of that. The canadian government
wanted to legalize pot last year. The US government told them there
would be sanctions if we did so. Marijuana is still illegal in Canada.
I can bring out more examples if you want.

Alain Fournier

Well there was this little thing called an election this summer which
as you may know wipes out any legislation currently in the pipe. The
Attorney General has stated that it is still in the works, but now
that the Liberals are in a minority goverment position, I'd say the
chances of the legislation being presented to the house is close to
zero.

Ah yes: The Europeans are willing to fight to the last -- AMERICAN.

To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling --

"For it's Ollie this, and Ollie that,
And 'Ollie, how's your soul?'
But it's 'Thin red line of 'eroes'
When the drums begin to roll!"

"Let every nation know, whether we wish them well or ill, that we will pay
any price, bear any burden, endure every hardship, support any friend,
oppose any foe in order to secure the survival and success of liberty."

John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-63)
President of the United States
