Outta mind? That's you.

Why?

Because no rational person will take a blatant hypocrite seriously.

*No* individual's action to reduce his own contributions to the
damage will make a real difference. Only government, reducing
*everybody's* contributions, will make the difference.

The problem is that such forced reductions can never be fair.

When you reduce your own contributions to the damage, you get 100% of
the costs, and 0.000001% of the benefts.

Meanwhile, the warmingistas get 0% of the costs and 100% of the
benefits.

Even so, *plenty* of environmental activists _do_ make tremendous
sacrifices, and have low-consumption lifestyles, so as not to
contribute to the damage themselves, and lead by example.

If that were even remotely true we would see a much greater use of
mass transit, far more bicycles, and far fewer cars and SUVs. There
would have never been such as thing as a Gore or 0bama bumper
sticker. There would not be Gore or 0bama campaign signs in front of
"oversized" mini-mansions.

A few whose duties require them to speak to people frequently at
widely separated locations have to take airplanes a lot,

They don't need to travel as a "duty," they seem to do it for personal
gain.

but if you
think that Al Gore and a few others are the only "warmingistas"
around, you're mistaken.

I see plenty of 0bama bumper stickers attached to "oversized" vehicles
which usually have only one occupant. This is evidence that most, if
not all, of the roughly 50% who vote for warmingistas do not practice
what they preach.

North America was designed as a low resource competition, externally
subsidised, endlessly expanding, suburban, commuter lifestyle. You
would probably expect the 'warmandmisties' to pray nightly for an
increase in fuel and oil prices. Fortunately we don't need to. The
Chinese and Indian motorists are doing the job for us. Europe could
have done their job several decades earlier. Except that they could
never overcome their national loyalties, political corruption and
backstabbing.

Like all isolated civilisations before it, the US cannot live for long
beyond its means and readily available resources. The vampire trick
only lasts while the victim will willingly sacrifice itself. This only
ever occurred in black and white, B-movies. The world had already
moved on to sharpen its own stakes. For the next attack by the
ambulance-chasing zombies in shiny suits and loud ties.

The power was cut to the USS stability gyros decades ago. In order to
spend the money on armaments instead. It all began to go horribly
wrong when the ship's captain overspent on eradicating communism. Not
to mention, destroying democracies which would not obey the fat,
global, economic dictator. Remember the bananas issue? Or the slave-
produced beef, grazed on clear-felled jungles? Have they been
officially erased from the national memory banks by the US propaganda
ministry with a high latitude dosing of M.Jackson Esq.?

Now, only the flywheel effect is still keeping the US marginally
stable. More out of habit than anything else. Nobody told y'all to
stop going to work as usual. So you still religiously attend the
church of wanton obesity, low education standards and terminal,
prescription drug abuse on your daily commute to pointless careers. To
paddle other people's wealth around a system which creates nothing of
value. You bought into the fanzine which said the celeb culture was
second only to your Disney god. Idle idols have always feasted on the
willing flesh of the poor.

You know what happens to gyros when they begin to lose speed? They
become violently and unpredictably unstable. They may even destroy all
around them in their last, dying, catastrophic moments. Abuse of oil
has fuelled the Islamic terror backlash and will undermine global
stability for decades unless they can be bought off with sacrificial
lambs and real gold AK47s. Abuse of economic power only works when
there are enough bloody, despot's hands outstretched to grab your
cheap baubles and beads. In exchange for their nation's irreplaceable
treasures and protection from natural justice.

Y'all have a nice day, dya'hear? spit :-)

I really wonder about your eyesight and hearing. As I recall it was Allan "I was't drummed out of the service" West who complained about how much it cost to fill up his Hummer, Then again you've never been one to let facts interfere with your inability to deal with reality. Please don't give us the stale rancid "Al Gore is fat" line as that has been debunked so many times it would only prove you can only repeat what someonelese told you to say

Another rant.

What does it have to do with the fact that warmingistas as a group are
doing little or nothing to reduce their carbon footprints?

Y'all have a nice day, dya'hear? *spit :-)

Bless you heart.

AFAIK, he hasn't suggested that I ride the bus, instead of driving a
car (or an H2.) Therefore, Allan West = Not-a- Hypocrite. See how
that works?

Then again you've never been one to let facts interfere with your inability to deal with reality.

You wouldn't know a fact if it came up and bit you in the rump.

Well, since you brought it up, do you mean something like this:

Michelle Malkin » Al Go Go Organic and Eat Less Meat to Save the
Planet ?

or this:

http://fellowshipofminds.wordpress.c...ed-sex-poodle/
?

Owl Bore is one of the last people who should be giving out
nutritional advice.

There's no such thing as a "warmingista". It's just another term made
up by science deniers and ignorant right wing manipulators in an
effort to deflect discussion away from rational issues.

When you are unable to appeal to the intellect (or your audience lacks
any intellectual skills), you make up names and appeal to the
emotions. Demagoguery: alive and well in the wingnut right.

"Warmingista" emphasizes the political motivations associated with
AGW.
