Forgive my egregious omission. (I got kicked off

I'm sure you know

Actually, I don't visit it regularly. I probably could have guessed
it, though.

And they have it archived under Mar 23, 2007.

That's the part I wanted to know...thanks! (And sorry if my terse
request seemed rude--that wasn't intentional.)

Hi all,

Here are a couple of shots taken from the 26th March. The first is of
some dramatic alpine shadows together with the Vallis Alpes...

The second is of the Hadley Rille region on the Moon, which is where
Apollo 15 landed...

Digging around, I came up with an interesting shot of the site taken
from lunar orbit during the Apollo 15 mission. The orientation and
lighting are not too dissimilar.

Excellent pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

Sorry for this question (hope not to attract trolling replies here), but
do you think, that with better equipment and a series of pictures it
were possible to obtain the last picture with its details also from the
Earth surface?

Excellent indeed. I don't suppose it would be possible to match the
Apollo photo from the Earth. It would at least require a large
telescope, a very good sky, much luck, and probably many exposures.

Nonetheless, to my eye Mr. Lawrence's photos do not suffer very much in
comparison to the Apollo photo.

Seconded!

Your images are truly inspiring to me - and I'm sure to many others here

Please keep posting them!!

Cheers,

Jeff
