So, which conspiracy theories _are_ based on logic or facts? ;-) Only the ones proven true, naturally. Iran/Contra and Watergate would have been rightly laughed at if they hadn't come into the open. There are and always have been conspiracies of some sort or another. It's just that there's so many wacko ones out there that it's hard to sort through to find the ones that may be true. -- Chris Mack "Refugee, total ****. That's how I've always seen us. Oh just shut the **** up. You're clearly just talking out your ass
without knowing a goddamn thing BRBR I take it you're in charge of manners and Roberts Rules of Order on this board. Yes, a lot is my opinion. For what it's worth, it IS the opinion of an old Titan II ICBM commander, published space historian, and longtime military space student, consultant, and participant. As to the idea of a secret military space agenda involving anything as complex as launch of secret spacecraft with military crews... just consider how good the US government has been at keeping secrets. You would have seen every detail in the Washington Post a long time ago. Matt Bille ) OPINIONS IN ALL POSTS ARE SOLELY THOSE OF THE AUTHOR |

made the phosphor on my monitor glow in such a way as to indicate that: In article , says... I've read several times now that the new Bush plan for NASA is a cover-up to "militarize space." Let me take a moment to note this is absurd. Let me take a few moments to tell you that you are clueless. Space has always had great potential for military applications. Which is completely beside the point. |

Let me take a few moments to tell you that you are clueless. Space has always had great potential for military applications. Modern war relies on array of satellites. Satellites go around the Earth, not from the Earth to the Moon or to Mars. Neither one of those destinations has the least usefulness for military domination of the Earth in the forseeable future. So shifting the goal from the ISS to the Moon and Mars represents a move _away_ from the militarization of space. Mike Maxwell |
