Amazing. So, which conspiracy theories _are_ based on logic or facts? ;-)

Only the ones proven true, naturally. Iran/Contra and Watergate would
have been rightly laughed at if they hadn't come into the open. There
are and always have been conspiracies of some sort or another. It's
just that there's so many wacko ones out there that it's hard to sort
through to find the ones that may be true.

Oh just shut the **** up. You're clearly just talking out your ass
without knowing a goddamn thing BRBR

I take it you're in charge of manners and Roberts Rules of Order on this board.

Yes, a lot is my opinion. For what it's worth, it IS the opinion of an old
Titan II ICBM commander, published space historian, and longtime military space
student, consultant, and participant.

As to the idea of a secret military space agenda involving anything as complex
as launch of secret spacecraft with military crews... just consider how good
the US government has been at keeping secrets. You would have seen every
detail in the Washington Post a long time ago.

I've read several times now that the new Bush plan for NASA is a cover-up to
"militarize space." Let me take a moment to note this is absurd.

Let me take a few moments to tell you that you are clueless. Space has
always had great potential for military applications.

Which is completely beside the point.

Was that a nerd joke or what?

It's still one that hasn't been properly thought out. I suspect that
your own politics are blinding you to the obvious, among other things.

As to the idea of a secret military space agenda involving anything as complex

Oh please. They keep lots of secrets, but a good fraction of the really
big ones are too hard to hide. I'm not proposing any conspiracies. I
think it's completely obvious that the military could place a crew into
orbit if they wanted to. Compare the budget of NASA to the
department of defense. Use your head. They probably haven't wanted to
or needed to very often, since they can get NASA to do their dirty work
anyway.

You would have seen every
detail in the Washington Post a long time ago.

Indeed you've heard of a great many military space programs that could
conceivably put humans in space. Even a scaled up version of the old X-
planes might conceivably achieve this to say nothing of more conventional
military launch vehicles.

Perhaps you can point out some source where I can read some
confirmation about what you claim Bush said that I don't seem to
remember.

Go back to the SOTU last year.

What is the SOTU ?
