Not nearly as bad, because it's not exposed to black sky. Underground temperatures are reasonable -- a bit cold but not very -- and quite stable (with the caveat that our data is on shallow depths in soil, not on lava-tube interiors, and at only a couple of sites). -- MOST launched 30 June; science observations running | Henry Spencer since Oct; first surprises seen; papers pending. | |
