Default The width of the visible universe has _Nothing_ to do with it's age.

Nonsense.

I already know that the universe is now 1,088 times cooler,
and so 1,088 times wider.

Are you _really_ sure you have your maths correct here?

If there are, as you repeatedly postulate, five *spatial* dimensions then
the two dimension spread of energy you allude to here is incorrect.

Remeber, Jeff, try to keep track of all the different postulates you make.

But, at the birth of the CMB, the cosmic horizon was near zero,
because that was the first visible light.

Word soup. Can I have a bread roll or croutons next time please.

My Honours degree laughs in your face.

Relf's Law?
"Bull**** repeated to the limit of infinity asymptotically approaches
the odour of roses."

Anyone can do a google search and see how you fail to understand basic
cosmology, you maroon......

Still think 380,000 years is the WIDTH of the universe ?

Here's a clue. Ask any cosmologist - they'd laugh at your stupidity.

I read:

[ Planck_Surveyor ] will lead to more accurate estimates of
the distance to the last scattering surface
and of the size of the sound-horizon at last scattering.
www.RSSD.ESA.INT/SA/PLANCK/docs/Bluebook-ESA-SCI(2005)1_V2.pdf

What are the current estimates ?

Quote taken out of context in a serious way. Can you please rephrase it in a
more sensible manner?

and I asked: What are the current estimates ?

and you asked: What's this, something Professor Relf (B.Wiki) doesn't
know ?

No, it's something that wasn't in your text books, hence you don't know
it.

Well, as this ESA document appears to be your _only_ text book it explains a
lot. This URL may provide you with an insight though:

Want a good laugh?

I showed the cosmologist who taught some courses this year (she's done
A LOT of work in the field) some of Jeff's ramblings. Her comment -
"You've made my day, this is better comedy then anything on tv....."

She LOVED his temperature dimension stuff. called it "idiocy of the
highest calibre"....

Ha.

Remind me again how _any_ of your crackpot theories work. Do you still get
your rats pregnant? Have you explained how five spatial dimensions can exist
given the evidence for three? (Etc.)

Methinks Jeff has never heard the adage "When you find yourself in a
hole, stop digging".

Probably not. I suspect he is looking for either Oil or Australia :-)

Hi T_Wake, You cited:

cosmocoffee.info/viewtopic.php?p=1061&

That says the Sound_Horizon has expanded to 147 Mpc today.
Multiplying by 3.262 Light_Years / Parsec, that's about .5 Giga_Light_Years,
dividing by 1,088 give me .00044 Giga_Light_Years then,
i.e. the so-called _Age_ of the universe at the birth of the CMB.

What does be width of the _Visible_ universe have to do with it's age ?
