OK, OM- if you had to choose between Gwen Stefani, Judy Tenuda and
burning in Hell for an eternity, what would you do?

....I already have a deal with Satan on this one. Proxmire and Mondale
spend eternity getting sodomized by Gwen and Judy - Gwen with one of
her fashion cameras, Judy with her accordion.

....On a side note, I told someone my Tenuta Nightmare tale this
evening, and just as I was finishing some older dancer decided to
dance to a Who set. One of the songs was "Squeeze Box", which the
bartender I told the story to immediately said "Hey, that's dedicated
to you and Judy, right?"

Needless to say, he didn't get tipped for that one...

Gwen Stefani whined through her
nose:

....No, you're just a hollow white girl.

Hmmm. Well, I agree that she's nasal and whiney, and that her
songs have become increasingly irritating, but as to being off-key,
I've never heard her miss a single note.

Sorry, but I have to stick up for her sense of pitch, if nothing else.

Dale

Now, her fashion sense is another story...

...According to the girls who are just out of high school I talked to
about this, this is a song about two cheerleaders(*) coming to blows.
Fisticuffs, that is. It's *not* about anything other than that, and
despite what the Princess of the Deviated Septum may claim, her fans -
and those forced to listen to her lack of talent - aren't interpreting
the meaning as anything other than.

(*) There are those who have noted that Stefani tends to switch
genders a bit in the lyrics. Go figure.

I still think Gwen Stefani is cute...not as cute as Judy Tenu...never
mind... ;-)
Did you ever figure out why Mickey doesn't like the cheerleader in Toni
Basil's "Mickey"?
I saw here do this live on TV, and the reason she's not having any luck
at all seducing Mickey has to do with her offer to "take it like a man"-
during her live performance she bends over and touches her toes while
sticking her rear out as far as it will go during that particular lyric.
Mickey apparently likes guys, not girls. =-O

If there's a "message" in there, it evades me.

That song cracks me up. It's like their magnum opus- and they threw in
everything but the kitchen sink. That being said, if it hadn't been played to
death it wouldn't have been so bad. And she's done some OK songs-
"Walking Into Spiderwebs" was cute, but still overplayed.

"Just A Girl" is still the catchest one.

But sheesh,
they were doing those songs for years before they finally hit the big time.
I bet Gwen and The Boys are more sick of them than anybody...

What makes you think that Gwen and Judy won't be down there waiting for
him?

She's very cute and a blast to watch work the crowd at a live show. I
saw "No Doubt" circa 1996 or '97 at Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville
and it was great fun. I believe the openers were Atari Teenage Riot
(okay) and Weezer (better except for that damned annoying "Sweater"
song and the idiot Euro-trash tourists who kept trying to squeeze five
people into the space set aside for two ticket holders, all the while
bopping up and down making a "W" with their thumbs, index fingers and
pinkies, and yelling "Vee-zah! VEEEEEEE-zah!" at the top of their pot-
and ethanol-adled lungs.)

You said she was drunk, which makes it sound like you paid for the
top-of-the-line tickets where you get to go to the cocktail party with
her afterwards.
I still think I should write to her about you...maybe the stars were
wrong when you met, and this whole thing could be salvaged.
Gwen Stefani however is all mine...you thinks she writes some strange
break-up songs about other guys she's been out with, you just wait till
you see the one she writes about me, after a night of hot Bonobo Banana
Love.

So if she's in Hell, she gets a pitchfork? :-)
