Could be there is an excess of hot air in the East

As for the Eastern U.S., for the past couple of years you in Britain
have had nothing on us for cloudy, wet weather. There has been a

rapid
climate change here that I can't explain. Some say it has been

brought
on by global warming, others say that "global warming" is a myth
created by Friends of the Axis of Evil to destroy American

capitalism.

Whatever -- I wish you clear, black skies!

Glad YOU can see it. Here in New England, as opposed to Old England,
we will have overcast skies until Friday, at the earliest.

I did get to celebrate First Light 2005 on the evening of the 1st,
though. Got to see Machholz and lots of other nifty stuff.

Clear skies (please? pretty please??),

That is a wonderful photo. Good to see Machholz and Pleiades at least
this way; the 5-day forecast promises clouds and rain here in every
other day than Sunday :I

Where's 'here' Mika? My local forecast would seem to indicate that my
run of luck has ended

In this case, 'here' is in Southern Finland. Although I guess most of
Europe expect some of the mediterranean area seems to share this
rather awful weather according to a quick look to weather a forecast
service...

Thanks for the picture. Last night was our last clear night
for a while (according to the weather forecast) and the
Pleiades and Comet Machholz were both in the field of
my 7x50 binoculars.

I didn't get any pictures as nice as yours, but tried some
fixed tripod shots from the back yard anyway. My Digital
Rebel shows a greenish smudge in the right place...
