Yes, it is corrupt, and yes most politicians who
participate in gerrymandering redistricting are corrupt.
The fact that it is pervasive is not at all an indication
that it is not bad.


I didn't say it wasn't bad. In fact, I think that it's one of the
biggest problems of our politics right now, because it entrenches
incumbents and makes them unaccountable to the voters. As someone
once said, voters should pick their representatives, instead of the
latter picking the former.

But it's a different class of "bad" than outright vote fraud and
bribery.
