Could Space Signal Be Alien Contact?

LONDON (Reuters) - An unexplained radio
signal from deep space could -- just might be
-- contact from an alien civilization, New
Scientist magazine reported on Thursday.

The signal, coming
from a point between the Pisces and
Aries
constellations, has been picked up three times by a
telescope in Puerto
Rico.

New Scientist said
the signal could be generated by a
previously unknown
astronomical phenomenon or even
be a by-product
from the telescope itself.

But the mystery
beam has excited astronomers across
the world.

"If they can see it
four, five or six times it really begins to
get exciting,"
Jocelyn Bell Burnell of the University of Bath
in western England
told the magazine.

It was broadcast on the main frequency at
which the universe's most common element,
hydrogen, absorbs and emits energy, and
which astronomers say is the most likely means
by which aliens would advertise their
presence.

The potentially extraterrestrial signals
were picked up through the SETI@home project,
which uses programs running as screensavers
on millions of personal computers worldwide
to sift through the huge amount of data
picked up by the telescope.

Exciting because years ago I said most pulsars were really "little green
men" as the first pulsar discoveries were claimed as being.

Exciting also in that it is logically reasonable that if this is
intelligent life then it is more advanced than human life because they
have a superior technology-- they contacted us first.

Exciting also in that it would lend support to the Fusion Barrier
Principle in that all life is confined to their solar system simply
because fission energy is not large enough to travel out of a solar
system.

Exciting also in that the way we do science in the future will be vastly
changed in that we will be sharing and corresponding with a more
advanced lifeform and asking them such questions as whether Atom
Totality is correct or Big Bang is correct. Asking them whether
blackholes are fakestry or not. Asking them what is their religions and
by comparing our religions we will soon realize that God is science
itself and Science is god and that all the Earth religions are myth
stories.

Knowledge and wisdom accelerates forward when you have two civilizations
separated by light-years distance corresponding with one another.
Science on Earth alone is rather "stuck in the mud" but when two
intelligent and alien lifeforms talk to one another about science then
Science is Accelerated forward.

The first three questions of science that should be transmitted if these
are true advanced aliens should be these:

(1) which is true Atom Totality or Big Bang
(2) is the Fusion Barrier Principle true and stuck with an upper limit
of 67% breakeven
(3) is intelligent life always borne from a tree living species who
begins a behaviour of Throwing stones and rocks which creates bipedalism
and then creates a creature that is capable of civilization and science

Those would be the three most important questions to transmit.

I hope it is true the above, because it is sad that humans discover the
Earth is round and moves around the Sun some 2,500 years ago yet
required 2 milleniums to find out it is true. Same with Atomic theory of
Democritus. Took 300 years to find out Galileo was true. Took 50 years
to find Wegener was true on continental drift. Lately I have been saying
not how smart human species is but how stupid and dumb this species is.
And if this is a true alien contact, then humans have the hope of
becoming wiser faster instead of its current dreadful slow pace.
