Not now, nor has there been for a while, but that's because President
Johnson announced the existence of the SR-71 to the public, when he
wanted to, when the time was right, after it had been operating for
years without anyone catching on.

This does not prove your point. In fact, it proves that the US has
possessed top-secret craft before, with performance high enough that
civilians were perfectly willing to believe they were UFOs, and has
successfully managed to keep said craft a secret until it was decided
to make them public.

We found that we had been "too" careful.
Spent most of our pretesting on the systems that would guarantee our return
to our own galaxy.
They obviously worked fine.
Some of the things we thought were relatively inconsequential turned out to
be crucial and vice versa.
These have been repaired and upgraded, and we're pretesting them as we
speak.

Our situation is similar to your dual-natured physics.
Whenever humans observe things counter to your beloved Einstein, you run
