Thank you every body, your ideas have really helped.
Im so glad that you liked what ive done so far, it really means a lot to

me.

Looks like ive got some work to do. Im going to try my hardest to

implement
all of your ideas.

Over the weekend I started to think about being able to view the stars

from
other stars and the way I have written my program it shouldnt be too hard

to
do that. so the next release (maybe version 1.0) should have all your
improvements and you will be able to put the viewing camera on different
stars.

I like it. I agree with most of everyone else's comments. I like the
transparent ground, as it's nice to be able to see what's just below the
horizon and just about to rise. Maybe you can have an option to make the
ground opaque to satisfy those that prefer it that way.

Your use of interface controls is a little inconsistent. You have a slider
for magnitude, but buttons for in and out zoom. Also, it would be nice to
have some feedback with the magnitude slider, i.e., what it's setting.

Personally, I prefer to grab hold of the sky and drag it in the direction I
wish to move, whereas you have it the opposite way round. I guess there will
be people who disagree, so maybe you could have that as an option.

One final thing, I do a lot of work on UNIX machines, and have become used
to editing configuration files. Perhaps you could label the options in your
..ini file so they could be edited.

Ah, just noticed one other things, the labels overlap at low zoom levels,
e.g. for the Pleiades, perhaps you could check for this, and (in this
example) just label the whole object Pleiades.

Excellent work, hope to see the final product.
