Default Heellllpppppp!!!

I'd tell them I cancelled my order and inform my credit card company in case
they try and charge you, then order from Orion, Anacortes or Astronomics,
all very reliable, good prices and easy to deal with.

Come on group, help me out with some advice. I ordered a Konus 8" newt

with
telescopes.com out of Minnesota about 1 1/2 months ago. Naturally it was
backordered but the website says that backorders ship within 7-10 days. I
wouldn't be posting this if I hadn't received it yet. I've sent them and
Konus a couple e-mails regarding ship date of this product but haven't had
any responses. I know that backorders are typical with scopes, but for
cryin' out loud we're not talking A/P or a custom truss-tube he-) Other
dealers have them in stock so what's the deal? What would you do in my
situation? Anyone ever dealt with this dealer? Thanks in advance for any
helpful replies.

You should call them on the telephone to straighten out the problem. Email
is hardly a good medium for such things, in my experience.

Actually, if I lived in Scottsdale, Arizona I wouldn't mail-order form
Minnesota, but instead I'd support the local telescope stores. If memory
serves, you have at least 2 and maybe more. Before Eagle Optics dropped
astronomy, I would always buy from them, even through they are a 90-minute
drive away. Shop globally, buy locally if you want to support your hobby.
That's my opinion, at least ;-)

I have never dealt with them but am aware that this is not

www.telescope.com
(Orion). Going to the website www.telescopes.com and scrolling down, my
eyes are drawn to a TASCO reflector. Hmmmm. . . .

Maximum Useful Magnification 28x, 175x, 420x, 556x
Objective: 76 mm
and only$82
