They don't. They just don't drink ice cold beer. Because ice cold beer
is disgusting. Unless you like disgusting beer to begin with, in which
case being ice cold helps mask the flavor.

No self-respecting restaurant or microbrewery in the U.S. serves ice
cold beer, either.

You could always try Miller Lite, it leaves no aftertaste.
(It leaves no before taste or during taste either.)

An American's view of his Miller Lite:
Less of a beer and more of a way of life/business mandate for me. My
occupation demands that I drink this often and in mass. When IÂ’m out with
work people (even at a good beer bar) I frequently have to stick to ML or
perhaps High Life in order to keep up. Work sometimes dictates that I
drink more than 10 beers in a night and I can down 10 MLs and still be
sober. Try that with any craft and youÂ’re toast. I donÂ’t usually mind it
too much, ML in the bottle makes for a decent session. If itÂ’s ice cold
and in a can itÂ’s reminiscent of a camping or fishing trip for me. Either
way itÂ’s ok. On tap is a different story. ML on tap is just **** and
indigestion in a glass. Forget about it even when itÂ’s free. ML looks
like corn colored ****. It tastes like water and pilsner malt when ice
cold and corn syrup when cold to warm. It smells the same as it tastes.
It doesnÂ’t give much of a buzz. It IS LESS FILLING! ItÂ’s way better than
bud light, thatÂ’s for damned sure. Since we are supposed to review
“within the style” here on BA, I’ve gotta give this beer props. It’s
about the best you can do in this pathetic style.

Why do Americans fill a glass with ice before adding wine or Coca Cola?
"Big Mac and fries to go, please, and a DIET coke."
"Large or medium fries?
"Large with extra ketchup, please."
Americans are fat, tasteless and polite.
Government health warning:
Riding a bicycle in America is dangerous to your health.
Only use an approved stationary exercise machine to increase your heart
rate and take your cholesterol reducing statins regularly, the drug
companies need the profits.

Yeah, right. Scottish smoked salmon and Cornish clotted cream for me,
washed down with Glenlivet and Newcastle Brown. I'll also take an
American Sam Adams, they are not
ALL bad.

Je suis charlie!

Newcastle Brown! I used to like that until, at university I had four pints
of it at lunchtime in the student union bar followed by an organic
chemistry practical with everyone preparing a different noxious substance
and very few using the fume cupboards. After that I had to cycle home about
six miles on cobbled streets. I felt so ill afterwards that I didn't drink
Newcastle Brown again for over twenty years!
Note to Americans - an Imperial pint is 20 fluid ounces not 16.

Those who don't like the flavor of beer may prefer ice cold beer
because of that. BTW "disgusting" is a value judgement, not an
objective fact.

"Everywhere I hear the sound of palace revolution / But where I live the
game to play is compromise solution"

Some beer tastes better at room temperature, some tastes better cold, some
is OK at both extremes.

In North America it can be an advantage to prefer beer at room temperature.
In a Canadian hotel bar I bought a beer, the bartender asked had I liked
it. I replied that it was good but I would have preferred it at room
temperature so he then siad that he had just changed a barrel and the they
were about to fill some glasses with beer until the temperature had cooled.
So he offered me that beer free.
It was better at room temperature.

According to basic human rights, each man may freely worship his own dictator.
The view is much the same when seen from beneath the grinding jackboot.
Whether it be worn by communist, capitalist, religious or fascist, thought policemen.
Much of what we do is ruled by fear of something.
Fear of discovery greatly outweighs the fear of sanction.
The dictator will level mountains, of bodies, to avoid self-discovery.
The International Court of Human Rights will move mountains to avoid prosecuting a dictator.

Leave it to a nerd to take every question literally!

The correct "answer" is that the fridges are built by the same company that makes their domestic cars' electrical systems.

(Maybe its an urban legend but did they really wire the ignition systems in series with the tail-lights?)
