It is claimed British bookies will bet on anything. Is that true, Brits?

Certainly, bookies in Las Vegas will take bets on anything.

Yes. Pretty much provided that there is an element of chance in it. The
bookies famously got the odds for a hole-in-one at a premier golf
tournament wrong by two orders of magnitude once. See "Hole-in-One Gang"

Snow at Xmas is an old favourite (but read the small print).

Heard about that one.
But what about space missions like MSL Curiosity??

If you are really serious then one of the major players will take your
money off you or perhaps this lot (definitely not a recommendation).

So there certainly are bookies offering odds on anything in the UK.

Is there any betting companies around the globe that let you
bet on a successful or crash outcome of Curiosity Lander in a

Seems there never has been such a stir around a landing as
this one, so this seems the right time to put real money on a
landing.

Personally I'm doubtful about this landing, but I certainly hope
I'm will be wrong and it will climb the layers of the crater
mountain eventually!

But anyway, I want to bet money on the outcome this time,
so are there any real possibillities for this...?

Keep in mind that most American astronomers are so tight only dogs can
hear them pass wind. If you win the bet you'll probably have to take
the entire country to the world court to collect.

If you're interested I've got a bottle of my favorite grape juice that
says the lander makes it.

Keep in mind that "Bjørn Sørheim" is a Scandinavian name and
he was asking about betting, not about Yankee astronomers.
Parochial dingbats like you think you are the whole world. I've
got news for you, chump. China, India and Russia are bigger, your
measly population is smaller than Europe's and your laws take
away the freedoms you so proudly proclaim. Heck, you can't
even buy a beer in a 7-Eleven on a Sunday in Maryland. The
land of the free? What a joke!
