Okay - I will have to live with it.
I can do that - He has been determined to be an OEM by a 23 member group

Well, that's just a load of ********, isn't it. Making an error
is one thing, but refusing to rectify one after it has been
pointed out is another thing entirely.

Howard you are right of course - he is an OEM

How can he be an OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer)?
He doesn't manufacture...anything. If anything, his publisher
manufactures, that is, makes his mere thoughts tangible,
hence...

I might see your refusing a representative of Parks, but would Sir
Issac Newton be given the boot as well?

Doogie,

Do you remember being a kid and playing baseball in the schoolyard? I
remember meeting all the kids on Saturday morning and playing baseball the
rest of the day. In my group, Pete almost always brought the bat and ball,
and Pete always got first choice in picking those he wanted on his team.
One day, a new kid asked Pete, "why do you always get the first choice?" Of
course, Pete responded, "it's my bat and ball!" Well, Doogie, it's the same
kind of thing here with Herb. You can **** and moan to your hearts content,
but in the end, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference. The bat and ball
belong to Herb.

Al

Did you actually intend that in Mr. York's defense, that is, an analogy
illustrating selfishness and ungraciousness?

People with a web site like this one
http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/astromenu.html are placed before

the
"AstroMart peer group" to determine if they are dealers or OEMs.
In your case it was 79% of the group saying you are.
I believed them.

Thanks

Everybody knows that the Truth can be determined by popular vote.

It seems to me that you could look up the definition of "dealer" and
decide for yourself if Michael fits the description, then, being Herb,
you could override that 79% majority's opinion. That's why we have
judges--lay people often don't know enough for their opinions to guide
the law.

Of course, as any successful despot knows, majority opinion can make a
very good scapegoat. If Michael should feel that he's been
discriminated against and think about suing you, you've got that 79%
to blame for a poor decision.

I don't have to speak in Mr. York's defense, as he is perfectly able to
speak in his own defense.

Okay, I'll bite: what is a Darwin award?

John/Bill,

An award named after the legendary Charles Darwin, of course, Bill.

There are those infamous jokes that get passed around electronically and
my understanding of the Darwin award is that it goes to the human being
during a particular year who has done his best through shear stupidity
to help remove his genes from the gene pool by virtue of some very
stupid action on his behalf which often results in his death (and thus
"removal" of his genes from the available gene pool).

I wish I had kept some examples around but we are talking about some
very serious actions and reactions!

Anthony.

/equivocation It's an award I've heard of, and just sounded right, at
that moment. equivocation

Herb sees you as competition in his bid for World Domination. Do not
risk making the ruminants angry--when their leader takes over the
world they will be in control. Best to become an Herbivore while you
still can.

Herb would not let me have an Astromart account because I had a lowly
"hotmail" address (I no longer do), even if I only wanted to
participate in the forums.

I always suspected Herb to be a man of impeccable distinction, now I'm
sure!:-)

Al

And I thought you wanted to be friends.

BTW, Hitler was said to be of impeccable distinction. Nero too. But
then, those who said such things were afraid to peck. If you pecked
Hitler or Nero, you could lose your head. Peck Herb and you could
lose your Astromart account.
