Another clear evening last night but with the moon a little high. Took this
with the Canon 350D and 80mm Skywatcher refractor mounted on a celestron goto mount. Great thing about this arrangement is the whole lot can be carried outside in one go. Camera bag over shoulder, scope under-arm and battery in hand. Its up, running and taking snaps within 5 minutes. Its about 350k to download though (1 to 2 mins on dial up?). http://tinyurl.com/74efs Regards Chris |

Hi Chris,
Nice shot. Those small scopes are handy when it comes time to haul them out or bring them back at the end of the night. What's next? Clear Skies Chuck Taylor Do you observe the moon? Thanks Chuck (another C Taylor :-)) I'm working on a few globulars taken the other night. One of them; "The Wild Duck Cluster". After the Swan and Eagle Nebulae I'm wondering if some Ornithologist got a little restless in the evenings and found other uses for the spotting scope? Regards Chris |

Another poster has commented on focussing - I find this very hard wioth just a simple rack and pinnion focus track (and no 'fine focus' like I'm used to on microscopes. Keep it up, I'm sure we'll both improve! tony |
