What I see on my local TV station is a longer, more imaginative version
of that.

I suspected there was a longer version, but haven't found it on YouTube yet.

ISS has been hit with debris in the past, most notably a discared
wrench found lodged during a spacewalk

so was a shuttle which had paint flick damaged window.

unchecked debris can make orbital operations impossible.........
