Norway levys “ sin taxes ” against high-calorie foods.
The UK has a 17.5 percent tax on fruit juices.
Coke and Pepsi won't advertise sugary drinks to children under 12.

The American Journal of Public Health published
a review of 88 nutritional studies that found
‘ clear associations ’ between obesity and non-diet soft drinks.

A 2005 study from the Center for Science in the Public Interest
― an anti-obesity group ― say high-sugar drinks are
the single largest source of calories consumed by Americans.
