Default Places to watch sky with family in the Bay Area ...

Folks,

I am a novice, so please be kind if the question is a naive one. I'd
also appreciate if you redirect me to the right group.

I wanted to know the safe places in and around the Bay Area, California
to watch the sky (beginning with the good old Moon!). Is there a list
of such places available somewhere on the Net?

Thanks in advance,

Kedar Mhaswade
