....One of the things that's been leaked through the grapevines is that
the CGI is being done in-house at See-BS. They've got the tools to do
it right, but a) they had really no lead time, which is why they're
releasing the revamped eps one new one a week, b) they've been told do
it as best as possible, but try not to make it too much better than
the original effects, and tweak only where applicable, and c) their
budget is limited, so just do something quick and dirty as much as you
can get away with it, and leave it at that. Also being leaked is word
that the mesh for the Enterprise was lifted off the internet from one
of the mesh sites, but nobody's really sure whose it was just yet.
