Default Bill Readdy -- Conspicuous by His Absence

In the past several NASA news conferences, the man who reportedly will
issue the 'go' for launch tomorrow has not been available to take
reporters questions. Instead, they've had Wayne Hale and his ECO show
'n tell, with Griffen saying he hopes the problem reoccurs before
launch.

Who's in charge? Why didn't Readdy (Associate Administrator for Space
Flight) call for a WCDT and a FRF months ago? He's been around long
enough to know what it takes to launch after this sort of a standdown.

It looks like Griffen just wants to make sure Lockheed's tank-mod
snafus get ironed out for the first launch of his unmanned heavy
lifter. No honorable man in his right mind would use a crewed launch
for that purpose.
