I am not happy about the militarization of space. But that is the real
world. These guys live in a dream world and want to go back to living
in caves and devolving back to tree slime. Nuclear propulsion is
feasible and capable of taking thousands of settlers to Mars per day.
That is why I support nuclear rockets. That is why we must counter
this PR threat to Nuclear Propulsion.

KEEP SPACE FOR PEACE WEEK
INT'L DAYS OF PROTEST TO STOP THE MILITARIZATION OF SPACE
OCTOBER 4-11, 2003
NO STAR WARS RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT!
NO THEATRE MISSILE DEFENSE!
NO NUCLEAR ROCKET!
FUND HUMAN NEEDS!
The Global Network is now compiling the list of local actions for this
year's Keep Space for Peace Week, October 4-11. The recent war in
Iraq
has dramatically shown how space technology is now the key element in
modern warfare. Thus the U.S. call to "control and dominate space,"
knowing that this technology will allow the U.S. to control the Earth
on
behalf of the multi-national corporate interests.
The enormous cost of the new space arms race is already proving to
come
at the expense of such needed programs as education, health care,
environmental clean-up, social security and the like. The question of
what
provides real "security" to the world should be a key point of
emphasis
in our work.
Please send us the date of your planned local action, the location and
a contact person for the event. We plan to publicize all the actions
widely. Please note below our speakers bureau for the week.
Keep Space for Peace Week posters (see our website
http://www.space4peace.org)
are now available and can be obtained from the Global Network for $3
each, five for $10.
Thanks for your support.
Please contact these people directly to negotiate speaking dates,
travel expenses, etc. during the week of local actions. They all have
considerable expertise on the space issue.
