Telescope for children

Someone asked about the Skywatcher Infinity here a few weeks back. Long
enough ago that it's disappeared from my news spool. Reports indicate that
smallish children (4 & 6) can use it pretty well, hand held (with the neck
strap) or on its table mount. I don't know yet what problems it has or how
well it might work for viewing generally, but I gather it's pretty good for
viewing the moon.

One slight point, we gave it as a Christmas present to some good friends.
The packaging doesn't have the word "telescope" on it anywhere and the
eyepieces are well hidden inside, so apparently it took the "grown ups" some
time to work out what it actually was :-) The evening we planned for joint
families viewing, the inevitable happened of course: 3 evenings of fair
clarity beforehand then thick cloud until bedtime. So I don't yet have
first-hand experience of using it.
